EU Regulation 10/2011 is the framework for plastic materials intended to come into contact with food. If you are importing into the EU and your part touches food, this is the document your customer will ask for.
The regulation works through a positive list of authorised monomers and additives, plus migration limits. That means a Declaration of Compliance should identify not only that the material conforms, but which substances in it are covered, at what maximum level, and what migration testing has been done against which food simulant.
A one-line statement saying 'compliant with EU 10/2011' is not sufficient and will not satisfy a competent authority. If you need a declaration for a specific grade, tell us the application — direct contact, repeated use, fatty or acidic food, and the maximum service temperature. Those four parameters determine which simulant and which test conditions apply, and without them any declaration is guesswork.
