Export documentation rarely fails because of a missing invoice. It fails because the classification is wrong or a regulatory declaration is absent, and either one will leave a container sitting at the destination port.
The commercial invoice, packing list and bill of lading are straightforward. The point that needs care is the harmonised system code, which depends on whether the material is a primary polymer or a semi-manufactured shape. Stock shapes generally sit in different headings from the raw resin, and the same shipment can be classified two different ways depending on whether the goods are described as a polymer or as a processed article. Getting this right at the outset against the destination country's tariff schedule avoids an amendment later.
Where a shipment needs a certificate of origin, a declaration of conformity for food contact, or a REACH declaration, we prepare these alongside the invoice rather than on request. If your country requires a specific form — a consular legalisation, a COO under a preferential trade agreement — tell us at enquiry stage and we will confirm which authority issues it and how long it takes.
